Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kimbof Slice (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lucian Stockes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Kimbof Slice!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Lucian Stockes!
The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Matti Vanhoillinen and Tarja Halkonen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Slice circles away from the clinch attempt.
Slice shoots for a takedown but Stockes saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Stockes tries to bum rush Slice with a series of wild strikes but Slice uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Stockes fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Slice is out of range.
Stockes tries to clinch up but Slice circles away and keeps his distance.
Slice fails with the takedown.
Slice looks to land a combination. Stockes sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Slice ducks under a wild hook from Stockes.
Slice closes the distance and clinches up with Stockes, looking for a takedown. Slice pushes Stockes against the cage but Stockes circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kimbof Slice. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Stockes stuffs the takedown attempt from Slice. Slice gets slowly back to his feet.

Slice gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Stockes misses with an elbow over the top.
Stockes is pressed up against the cage. Slice has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Stockes down to the mat. Stockes avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Stockes lands with an overhand left.

Slice closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Stockes landing a few short strikes.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Slice trying to advance position but Stockes counters by regaining guard.
Slice is breathing heavily.
Stockes wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

Let's hope that Stockes has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Stockes is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Stockes wants to sweep but no luck.
Slice trying to control the position from guard on top but Stockes is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Slice stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Stockes swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Slice trying to control but Stockes is working from the bottom.
Stockes wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Slice wants to pass the guard but Stockes is keeping the position.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Stockes rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Slice moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Slice!
Stockes throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Slice shoots for a takedown but Stockes saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Slice shoots in and drives through. Stockes sprawls well.
Stockes misses with a combination

and Slice counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Slice.
Stockes looking for a sweep. Not yet Stockes, not yet.

Slice is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Stockes is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Stockes has escaped and now he's on top!
Slice trying to control the position.

Stockes preventing the sweep.
Slice wants to control but Stockes passes easily into half guard.
Slice is trying to get back to full guard.
Stockes lands with a punch from half guard.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Stockes controlling the pace.
Slice is looking for a sweep. Stockes is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Slice throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Slice wants to control the action here but instead Stockes manages to pass to full mount!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Stockes tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Stockes trying to control but he's not successful this time.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Kimbof Slice will probably get the nod.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!


Stockes wants to clinch.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Stockes pushes off an throws an elbow but Slice leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.
Slice is trying to break free.
Slice blocks an elbow strike.
Stockes throws an elbow that misses.

Slice goes for a takedown attempt but Stockes pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Slice shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Stockes but Stockes pushes him off and we're back to square one.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Stockes tries to close the distance and clinch up but Slice swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Stockes swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Slice gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Stockes misses with an elbow over the top.

Stockes creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.
Slice has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Stockes avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Stockes lands a nice elbow from the clinch.

Slice blocks an elbow strike.
Slice is working for takedown but Stockes is calmly controlling the position for now.
Slice tries to score a body lock takedown but Stockes shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Slice pulls guard effortlessly.
Slice controls Stockes momentarily but Stockes frees himself.
Slice trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!
Stockes working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

Slice working for submissions but it's allowed Stockes to get to half guard.
Slice on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Slice tries to get out of the position.
Stockes prevents Slice from improving his position.

Stockes is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Slice is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Stockes's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Stockes's back!
Slice is trying to stick to Stockes's back but Stockes is turning into Slice. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Slice's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Stockes.
Slice wants to sweep here but Stockes controlling him for the moment.
Slice is working hard here to advance position.

Stockes would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Slice wants to improve his position but instead Stockes has moved into half guard.
Slice wants to control the action here but instead Stockes manages to pass to full mount!
Slice is trying desperately to improve position.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Stockes controlling from the full mount.
Stockes with a couple of short strikes.
Slice is wriggling around trying to escape.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Stockes landing punches.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Lucian Stockes showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!


Slice changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Stockes tries to avoid it but Slice manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Stockes to the ground. Stockes escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Slice looks for a takedown but Stockes sprawls well.
Stockes tries to bum rush Slice with a series of wild strikes but Slice uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Horrible takedown by Slice or perhaps it was just good defense by Stockes which made him look bad.

Stockes keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
A combination from Stockes does no damage.
Stockes rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Slice moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Stockes slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Stockes manages to work his way to half guard, despite Slice's best efforts.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Stockes is not content to let Slice control the position.
Slice throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Stockes avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Slice.
Slice seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Stockes does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Slice content to control rather than advance.
Slice is looking to stall here but Stockes recovers full guard.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Slice with a flurry of punches that miss.
Stockes lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Slice!
Slice tries to hold on but Stockes postures up.
Stockes lands a big elbow.
Slice is in all sorts of trouble here.

Slice can't escape the position.
Slice is squirming around, avoiding Stockes's attempts to control the action.
Slice tries to lock up and control but Stockes gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Slice tries to reverse the position but Stockes maintains control.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Slice bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Slice wants to pass the guard but Stockes is keeping the position.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Kimbof Slice.
I think Slice has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
