The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Guseinov connects with the punch.
The fight stays on the outside here - Green looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Guseinov thuds his right hand into Green's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Guseinov bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Guseinov really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Guseinov has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Green.
Green cracks Guseinov with a perfect right hand that drops him to the mat! Guseinov is sitting up but I can't see if he's OK from my position. The referee's count has reached 5,6,7 and Guseinov is still not up. Can he make it? 8,9, he's up! Wow, he cut that one a bit fine!

Green takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

We've been informed that Green has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Green throws a hook to the side of Guseinov's head but Guseinov sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Green avoids the head kick by Guseinov.
Green throws a shot from downtown. Guseinov moves away and avoids it.

Green misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Guseinov.

Guseinov fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Green manages to avoid it.

Green on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

Guseinov jabs Green to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Guseinov pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.

Green with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Guseinov to score with a decent uppercut.
Green looks to land a combination but Guseinov avoids it well.
Green takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.

Green throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Guseinov counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Guseinov uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Green.

Mustafa Guseinov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Guseinov lands with a hook. Green tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Green moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Guseinov looks to land a body kick but Green moved away.
Green throws a leg kick that is checked
and Guseinov counters with a left to the body.
Guseinov scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Green drops a shoulder and throws a biiiig uppercut that drops Guseinov onto his butt! Guseinov pops straight back to his feet to convince the referee that he's OK to continue.

Green tries to clinch up.
Green throws a body punch but Guseinov moves out of range.
Guseinov takes a swing at Green's ribcage but misses.
Green catches Guseinov with a right, a left, a right. It's raining punches and Guseinov forgot an umbrella! Another punch and he's down. This one is over!

After winning the bout, Danny Green thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
