Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Marcos Bowers!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Joey Tribbiani!
The judges for this bout are Aleksandr Martynov, Aleksei Zolotukhin and Sergei Dronov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bowers fails to land with a series of punches.

Tribbiani shoots in and bounces Bowers off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Bowers keeping moving, preventing Tribbiani from controlling successfully.
Tribbiani is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
Tribbiani slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Joey Tribbiani has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.

Tribbiani gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Bowers to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Tribbiani looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Tribbiani thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.

Bowers wants to control from the top but Tribbiani keeps moving.

Tribbiani has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Bowers can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Bowers slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Bowers really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Marcos Bowers has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Bowers throws a sloppy body shot

and Tribbiani holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Tribbiani drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Bowers gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Tribbiani is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Bowers to keep the fight standing.

Tribbiani wants the takedown. Bowers is fighting it off but Tribbiani persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Bowers's guard against the cage.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Tribbiani drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Tribbiani jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Bowers utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Tribbiani in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Bowers knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Tribbiani on the ground.
Bowers looking for a sweep. Not yet Bowers, not yet.
Tribbiani wanted to stand there but Bowers had control of the position.
Tribbiani wants to control from the top but Bowers keeps moving.
Bowers will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Tribbiani tries to stand but Bowers is controlling from the bottom.
Bowers is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Tribbiani is controlling him.
Tribbiani looking to control the position here, rather than advance.

Joey Tribbiani has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Bowers misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Bowers tries to score a power double leg takedown but Tribbiani sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Bowers somewhat.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Bowers's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Bowers misses with a series of wild punches.

Tribbiani shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Bowers napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Tribbiani is trying to get an arm triangle but Bowers is defending well.
You can see the frustration on Bowers's face as Tribbiani controls the position.
Bowers manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Tribbiani is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Bowers!
Bowers is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Tribbiani is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Bowers has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Bowers!
Tribbiani has a closed guard, preventing Bowers from standing up.

Bowers is posturing up here but Tribbiani has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Bowers tries to roll out but it's too tight and Bowers has to tap! Slick submission there by Tribbiani!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:51 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Joey Tribbiani!
