Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Eric Snow (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marcos Barboza (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Snow comes into the arena with Phil Collins - In The Air Tonight blaring out of the sound system. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Eric Snow! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Marcos Barboza! The judges for this bout are Josh West, Paul Gruel and Micheangelo Fripello.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Snow shoots in and drives through. Barboza sprawls well. Snow blocks the body kick.
Barboza goes for a high kick. It partially lands. Barboza swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Barboza lets loose with a powerful body kick. Snow will feel that in the morning. Barboza throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Barboza tries to land a front kick but Snow steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Snow feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Barboza working a defensive guard here.
Snow got a little sloppy there for a moment and Barboza has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Snow has managed to get both his arms back between Barboza's legs - danger averted. Barboza looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
That's one minute gone in the round. Snow is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Snow pushes down on Barboza's leg and manages to get into half guard. Snow lands with a punch from half guard. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Snow lands a nice short elbow. Snow landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Barboza is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Snow scores with a couple of nice shots. Barboza wants to improve his position but Snow is controlling well.
Barboza on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Snow lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Snow slips a nice elbow through Barboza's hands, connecting with Barboza's forehead. Snow landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Snow is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Snow takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Barboza is rocked! Snow working over Barboza with some ground and pound. Barboza looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Barboza is still in real trouble! Can Snow finish him? Snow has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Snow is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Barboza looks winded! Snow is looking for a kimura here.
Snow lands a big elbow from half guard. That looks like it's hurt Barboza quite badly. Barboza pulls Snow in close trying to recover. Snow postures up and lands two really hard shots that put Barboza on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but Barboza doesn't seem to be complaining too much.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:22 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Eric Snow! An out of breath Eric Snow thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
