The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Marco Blurström and Tarja Halkonen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vasconcelos cracks Cruz with a right hand to the side of the head.
Vasconcelos fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Cruz has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Wolfschanze in the buildup to the fight.
Vasconcelos's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Vasconcelos duly obliges.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Cruz darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Vasconcelos tests Cruz's chin there with a solid looking shot.

The fighters circle momentarily. Cruz darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

Vasconcelos's corner calls for a 1-2. Vasconcelos obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Vasconcelos's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Cruz connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Vasconcelos scrambles back to his feet.
Vasconcelos displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Cruz throws out the jab.

Cruz keeps the fight on the outside.
Cruz lands a nice looking body shot.

Cruz is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Cruz connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Vasconcelos's hands.

and Vasconcelos counters with a nice leg kick.
Vasconcelos is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Jorge Cruz will probably get the nod.

and Cruz counters with a nice low kick that buckles Vasconcelos's knee momentarily.
Cruz connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Cruz looks to land a right hand but Vasconcelos moved out of range.
Cruz feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Vasconceloss jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Cruz uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Vasconcelos lands a nice shot to the body.
Cruz connects with a stiff jab that staggers Vasconcelos - oh and he follows up with a huge uppercut that knocks him out cold! Man, that was brutal!

After the fight, Jorge Cruz was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
