Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Sub Norris (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jannis Arvanitidis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Norris kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Norris Man - When Your Time Is Up. Sub Norris has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 18 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Sub Norris!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jannis Arvanitidis!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Arvanitidis keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Arvanitidis throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Norris.
Norris takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Norris will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

My spies in Vicious Striking inform me that Arvanitidis has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!

Norris is working to tighten his grip on Arvanitidis's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Arvanitidis has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Norris is really squeezing tight and eventually Arvanitidis passes out! Norris breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:35 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Sub Norris!
After winning the bout, Sub Norris thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
