Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Neville Strickland (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dominik Dostal (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dostal comes into a darkened arena with his song building. avenged sevenfold - bat country kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Dominik Dostal will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Neville Strickland! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Dominik Dostal! The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Steve Smith and Trevor Gratis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Strickland changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Dostal tries to avoid it but Strickland manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Dostal to the ground. Dostal escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Dostal drives through with a takedown into Strickland's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Strickland being controlled here, momentarily. Dostal stopping the sweep attempt from Strickland. Dostal looking to pass the guard. Dostal lands a couple of decent looking shots. Strickland could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
That's one minute gone in the round. Strickland throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Dostal escapes and throws Strickland's legs to the side, diving into side control! Strickland tries to improve position but can't. Strickland might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Dostal wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Strickland, who protects the arm well. Dostal controlling from side mount. Dostal is looking to take a break and control but Strickland is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. You can see the frustration on Strickland's face as Dostal controls the position. Strickland is looking to regain half guard here but Dostal keeps moving and retains side control. Strickland regains half guard. Strickland wants to improve his position but Dostal is controlling well.
Dostal stands up out of the half guard. Dostal closes the distance and clinches.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Strickland is working for takedown but Dostal is calmly controlling the position for now. Strickland tightens his grip and picks Dostal up, before dumping him to the ground. Dostal manages to land in guard. Strickland trying to control but Dostal is working from the bottom. Dostal pulls Strickland in close to prevent any damage. Strickland preventing the sweep. Dostal trying to keep a closed guard but Strickland is proving a slippery customer.
Dostal is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Dostal uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Dostal misses with a takedown attempt and Strickland makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Dominik Dostal seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Strickland tries to keep at a distance but Dostal has taken the fight into the clinch. Dostal tries a knee to the head but Strickland blocks it.

Dostal shoots in for a double leg but Strickland sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Dostal tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Strickland defends well and Dostal ends up having to push Strickland into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Strickland dives in and grabs Dostal's left leg, looking for a takedown. Dostal pushes down on Strickland's head and hops out. Strickland closes the distance and pushes Dostal back into the cage. Strickland tries to pull guard but Dostal won't allow it.
Strickland jumps guard but Dostal stands there with Strickland around his waist. Strickland gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Strickland wants to take the fight to the mat but Dostal manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. Strickland is fighting off a takedown attempt but Dostal is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Strickland to the mat. Strickland regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat. Dostal pushes down on Strickland's leg and manages to get into half guard. Dostal trying to mount his opponent but Strickland defends it. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Dostal in particular looking to stall.
That's one minute gone in the round. The fighters are battling for position here. Strickland manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Strickland looking to hit a scissor sweep but Dostal is one step ahead there. Dostal passes Strickland's left leg - he's now in half guard. Strickland is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Dostal is keen to just control but Strickland is a slippery customer. Dostal wants to work for an arm triangle but Strickland is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Strickland is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Strickland strikes from the bottom but Dostal passes into mount!
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Dostal sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Dostal trying to control but Strickland is having none of it. Strickland wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dostal is punishing Strickland with some ground and pound. Strickland is really stuck here.

Dostal has the hooks in and he's looking for a rear naked choke here. Strickland is defending well but eventually Dostal manages to get an arm under the chin and he's locked on the RNC! Strickland has no choice but to tap now! He does! This one is all over!
