Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kimo Ovaska (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chuck Lindell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lindell has chosen 10,000 fists - Disturbed as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Kimo Ovaska could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Chuck Lindell's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
10 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kimo Ovaska! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Chuck Lindell! The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Felipe Paraventi and Emerson Jorge.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ovaska throws a combination that misses and Lindell cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Ovaska has been working on his boxing with his coaches at The Butchers Hook in the buildup to the fight. Lindell lands a nice hook to Ovaska's body. Ovaska takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Ovaska circles away from the clinch attempt.

and Lindell counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Ovaska misses with a body shot.
Ovaska throws a push kick but Lindell slaps the foot to one side. Ovaska moves out of range as Lindell strikes. Lindell looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Kimo Ovaska seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Ovaska moves out of range of the strikes. Lindell thows a body shot but no joy. Lindell misses with a wild body shot. Some wild striking there from Ovaska.
Lindell throws a body punch but Ovaska moves out of range. Ovaska slips under a jab from Lindell. Ovaska comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Ovaska fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Ovaska tries to work over Lindell's front leg with a kick but Lindell checks it. Ovaska throws a combination that misses and Lindell counters with a left to the body. Lindell connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Ovaska momentarily.

and Lindell cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Lindell's jab looks to have found its range, popping Ovaska under the eye. Nice shot lands for Ovaska.
It looks like Chuck Lindell has been cut. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Ovaska thows a left - swing and a miss! That's three minutes gone in the round. Ovaska throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Lindell sees it coming and avoids it easily. Ovaska does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Ovaska takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. Ovaska looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. Lindell checks the leg kick. Ovaska blocks a head kick by Lindell.

enabling Lindell to counter with a crisp jab. Lindell throws a hook to the side of Ovaska's head but Ovaska sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Ovaska misses with the combination.
Lindell jabs Ovaska to the body, keeping him at a distance. Ovaska tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Lindell is able to avoid easily. Ovaska staying out of range there. Lindell shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Lindell was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Ovaska takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ovaska manages to get back to half guard. Ovaska is trying to maintain the position but Lindell is very close to passing his half guard. Lindell throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Lindell content to control rather than advance. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Ovaska trying to control from the bottom.
Lindell is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Chuck Lindell dominated that round. The cut man is working on Chuck Lindell's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Ovaska works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. Ovaska misses the jab. Ovaska fails to land with a series of punches.

Kimo Ovaska is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Lindell lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. Lindell showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Ovaska.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Ovaska. Ovaska throws a right and a left that both miss. Ovaska misses with a leg kick and Lindell counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Lindell throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Ovaska tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Lindell is in Ovaska's guard. Lindell is looking to work some ground and pound but Ovaska has wrist control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ovaska is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Lindell works a leg free and moves into half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Lindell is looking to advance position but Ovaska won't allow it. Ovaska moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Lindell looking to pass the guard. Ovaska is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Ovaska is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ovaska is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Lindell is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Ovaska decides to stand and escape the position.

Ovaska throws a right and a left that Lindell avoids nicely. Ovaska throws out a loose jab but Lindell uses good head movement to avoid it. Lindell tries to close the distance and clinch up but Ovaska swats him away and circles back towards the center. Lindell throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Ovaska throws a low kick but Lindell avoids it. Lindell smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. Ovaska misses with a double jab.
Ovaska throws a right hand that Lindell ducks under and follows up with a left that Lindell also avoids with ease. Lindell lands a jab. Ovaska tries to bum rush Lindell with a series of wild strikes but Lindell uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Lindell looks to land a left hand but Ovaska moved out of range nicely.

Lindell is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Lindell swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Lindell bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Ovaska's head. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that. Ovaska swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Lindell. Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Ovaska lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Lindell has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Lindell and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Ovaska throws a series of punches but Lindell avoids them all with ease. Ovaska swings away with a leg kick that misses. Ovaska avoids a punch combination nicely.
No joy there for Ovaska, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Ovaska has Lindell pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Lindell manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Lindell throws a punch but it's blocked by Ovaska. Ovaska is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Ovaska breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Lindell walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Lindell moves into range and connects with a jab. Ovaska throws a combination that misses and Lindell counters with a lovely straight right hand! Lindell throws a shot to the body.
Lindell lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Ovaska throws a hook but Lindell avoids it easily. Lindell throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Lindell throws a shot to the body.
Lindell thuds a left hand into Ovaska's body. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Lindell is defended easily by Ovaska.

Ovaska throws a combination that misses and Lindell counters with a nice uppercut. Chuck Lindell seems to be getting the better of the standup. Lindell throws a shot to the body.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Lindell, as that shot connected.
Ovaska shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Ovaska lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.

Lindell works on Ovaska's body with a couple of short punches. Lindell tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. Lindell keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Ovaska's efforts to push away. Lindell misses with a hook from the clinch. Ovaska blocks a body shot from Lindell. Ovaska tries to circle away but Lindell has him pinned against the cage. Kimo Ovaska has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! A nice left hand lands by Lindell.

And that's the end of the fight! Chuck Lindell comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Lindell has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today.
