PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between SDf Asdf (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Max Zero (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Zero has chosen José the Bronx Rican - Spittin' Narcicism as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, SDf Asdf!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 21 - 30 - 0, fighting out of London, Max Zero!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, James Ackerman and Donald Grub.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Asdf misses the shot to the body.
Asdf misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Zero scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Zero is trying to get an arm triangle but Asdf is defending well.
Asdf tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Zero wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Zero tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Zero has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Asdf takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
We've been hearing good reports from Asdf's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
Asdf is looking for a sweep.

Zero is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Asdf knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Zero wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Asdf, who protects the arm well.

Asdf looking for a sweep but Zero has passed into full mount! Oh no!
Asdf holds on to Zero as tight as he can, avoiding damage.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
The referee warns Asdf that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Asdf is trying desperately to improve position.
Zero pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.


It looks like SDf Asdf has been cut.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Asdf sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Zero looks up at the clock and then as Asdf takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Zero smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!


SDf Asdf's cut is getting worse.
Asdf is trying to get back to his feet.

Asdf sneaks back into half guard.

Zero is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Zero has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Asdf defend it? Zero steps over the head and cranks it - Asdf is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Zero!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:17 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Max Zero!
Max Zero decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
