Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Terry Pollard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Justin Bostic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Justin Bostic has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Terry Pollard's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Terry Pollard!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Justin Bostic!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Cecil Peabody and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bostic scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Bostic thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Pollard wants to get back to his feet.
Pollard takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
Bostic slows the pace down.
Bostic prevents Pollard from escaping the position.
Pollard takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.

Bostic goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Pollard has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Bostic but great work by Pollard.
Bostic has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Pollard is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Bostic knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Bostic for a finish.

Pollard is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Bostic has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.
Bostic is trying to get back to his feet but Pollard has full control of the position and if anything, Bostic has just worked his way into a worse spot.

You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.

Bostic tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Bostic has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Pollard struggling a bit here.
Pollard tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Bostic wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Pollard sneaks out the side door and pushes Bostic away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.

Pollard is trying hard to land a takedown here. Bostic sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Bostic looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Bostic is breathing heavily.

Bostic shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Bostic was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

You can see the frustration on Pollard's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Pollard looks to move to half guard but instead Bostic has passed into mount! Damn!

Bostic goes for an armbar but Pollard turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Pollard.

Pollard stands up from Bostic's guard - Pollard perhaps looking for a knockout.

Bostic closes the distance and clinches.
Bostic doesn't land with the attempted body shot.

Pollard breaks the clinch.

Bostic drives through and clinches with Pollard against the cage.
Bostic tries to land a knee to the head but misses.

Bostic gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
Bostic trying to control but Pollard is working from the bottom.

Bostic with a nice head shot there.
Bostic prevents Pollard from getting back to his feet.

Pollard looking for a guillotine here but Bostic defends easily.
Pollard could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Bostic wants to control from the top but Pollard keeps moving.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Bostic slips nicely into half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Justin Bostic showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Pollard's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

Pollard lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.

Pollard breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Pollard tries to keep at a distance but Bostic has taken the fight into the clinch.

Bostic tightens his grip and picks Pollard up, before dumping him to the ground. Pollard manages to land in guard.

Pollard has his foot on Bostic's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Bostic works his way back into a safe position though.
Pollard wants to sweep but no luck.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Pollard isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Bostic stacks Pollard on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Bostic!

Bostic is looking to take a break and control but Pollard is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Pollard might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Justin Bostic comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Bostic has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
