The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rush misses with a combination
and Macdonald counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Rush's guard now.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Rush looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Macdonald's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Rush looking to control but Macdonald passes into half guard.
Rush wants to get back to his feet.
Rush looking for subs from the bottom but Macdonald mounts him!
Macdonald looking to control and managing it successfully.
Rush is in a horrible position here. Macdonald smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Macdonald is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Rush to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Rush shrugs it off.
Rush wants to get back to his feet but in bucking up he's left an arm hanging out! Macdonald has locked onto it and has pulled off a slick armbar! Rush taps furiously! This one is all over!
