Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the bantamweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ethan Harris! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Joe Castro! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Frank Dennis and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Harris pushes Castro up against the cage in a clinch. Harris dodges an elbow strike from Castro.
Harris throws an elbow that misses.
Harris lands an elbow that stopped Castro in his tracks for a moment. Castro is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Harris gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Harris misses with an elbow strike.

Castro tries to pull guard but Harris holds him up against the cage and eventually Castro drops back down to his feet.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Castro has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. Harris gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head. Castro jumps guard but Harris turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. Ethan Harris has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Joe Castro. Harris lands a glancing elbow in the clinch. Harris avoids the elbow strike from Castro, against the cage.

Castro tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Harris avoids it. Castro jumps guard but Harris stands there with Castro around his waist. Castro gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Harris moves into the clinch successfully.
Castro is trying to break free. Harris lands an elbow inside. Castro tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Harris pushes off an throws an elbow but Castro leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage. A nice glancing elbow lands by Harris. Harris lands a damaging elbow. Nice elbow from Harris.
Castro is rocked! Clinched against the cage, Harris lands a big elbow that drops Castro! The ref dives in to save him from more shots - Castro is complaining that he's OK but he was done.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:24 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ethan Harris! Ethan Harris is the new bantamweight champion! The defeated Joe Castro had this to say: 'I did what i could but nothing happend is all'.
