The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Jonathan Paton and Columbo Gatti.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The Kid shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Serra napping and manages to drive through into side control!
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
What's Serra going to do here then? He's in a bit of a pickle.
Serra manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Serra is not content to let The Kid control the position.
Serra has his hands clasped together around The Kid 's back. He's all about the action.
The Kid tries to stand and escape but Serra is controlling the position.
Serra looking for submissions off his back.
The Kid is working for a submission of some sort.

Serra actively working from the bottom here.
Serra gets full guard.
The Kid will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
The Kid wants to pass the guard but Serra is keeping the position.
Serra is looking for a triangle but The Kid pushes his legs off easily.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
The Kid is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Serra has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. The Kid is looking to defend but Serra has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for The Kid ! Serra pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, The Kid taps out and this one is all over!
