Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jules Clement (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Barry Scott (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Clement's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Ministère AMER - Sacrifice de Poulets. Scott has chosen Bang - By Barry Scott as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
18 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jules Clement!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

29 - 16 - 2, fighting out of Hilo, Barry Scott!
The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Andrew Berry and Sam Margolis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Clement throws a shot to the body.
Scott displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Clement.
Clement connects with an inside leg kick.
Clement misses with a straight right.
Clement throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Scott's head.
Scott looks to land a combination. Clement sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
It looks like Jules Clement has been cut.
Clement's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Clement duly obliges.
Both fighters circling a little - Scott finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Scott looks to score with a jab to the body but Clement is just out of range.

Clement lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

That kick from Clement tenderised Scott's leg. Scott is trying to keep his angry face on.

and Clement counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Scott's guard now.
Clement got a little sloppy there for a moment and Scott has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Clement has managed to get both his arms back between Scott's legs - danger averted.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Scott is on top in guard.

We've been hearing good reports from Clement's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Jules Clement decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
The defeated Barry Scott had this to say: 'Its about time we get some competent officials, I never should have lost!'.
