Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Gunnar Aron (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Xerxes LaVey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying LaVey's choice of entrance music: Battle Hymn of the Apocalypse. The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Marco Blurström and Tarja Halkonen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
LaVey tries to clinch but Aron is having none of it.
LaVey looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Aron works his way to full guard. Good work.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

LaVey changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Aron tries to avoid it but LaVey manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Aron to the ground. Aron escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

LaVey shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Aron as he jumps to the side.
LaVey misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

LaVey shoots in but Aron avoids the takedown attempt easily.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Aron looks to land a body kick but LaVey moved away.
Xerxes LaVey seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Aron scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Aron working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Aron is desperately trying to improve his position but LaVey has a good base and remains in mount.
LaVey is working for a guillotine from mount but Aron frees his head quite easily.

LaVey is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Aron has managed to escape the submission attempt.

That was a close round but I would say that Gunnar Aron will probably get the nod.

and Aron counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.

Aron tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Aron has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

so Aron counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
