We've been told by Butts's head coaches at Gentlemanly Scholars Fight Club Gym(4 Sprbt 4*+)(1 that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Butts lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Alvarez rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Butts moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Butts connects with a good right hand that stumbles Alvarez. Alvarez circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
