Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Duncan Webster (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mad Man (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Duncan Webster!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Mad Man!
The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Jorge Garcia and Columbo Gatti.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Man shoots in for a double leg but Webster sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Webster stuffs the takedown.

Webster clinches with his opponent.

Webster breaks the clinch.
Man shoots and misses
and Webster counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Duncan Webster has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mad Man.
Man tries for a takedown but Webster sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Man tries to score a power double leg takedown but Webster sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Man somewhat.
Man throws a right and a left that Webster avoids nicely.

Webster clinches up with Man and pushes him back against the cage.
Webster unloads a knee to the mid-section. Man lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.

We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Webster pulls Man in close to prevent any damage.

Webster has his feet on Man's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
Webster shoots in looking for a takedown but Man manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Webster's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Man changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Webster tries to avoid it but Man manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Webster to the ground. Webster escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Webster shoots in but Man avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Webster closes the distance and clinches.
Man tries to circle away but Webster has him pinned against the cage.
Man takes an elbow to the temple.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Webster pulls guard effortlessly.
Webster will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Man wants to stand but Webster is controlling his posture from full guard.
Man wants to control from the top but Webster keeps moving.
Man trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.

The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Man fails with a takedown attempt.

Webster is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Man's half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Man is looking for a triangle here but Webster uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Man is looking to take a break and control but Webster is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Webster is trying to control Man's posture but Man avoids it.
Webster is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Webster keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Webster is concentrating on defense, preventing Man from advancing position.
Man wants to take a breather but Webster is having none of it.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Webster has taken the fight to the clinch.
Man jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Webster walks away with a smile on his face. Man gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Webster closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Man's guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Man throws his legs up looking for a submission but Webster uses it to pass to side control.
Man is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Webster has just dragged him back down to the mat.
Webster knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Man on the ground.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Man looks to move to half guard but instead Webster has passed into mount! Damn!

Man tries to reverse the position but Webster maintains control.
Webster takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Man is in all sorts of trouble here.
Duncan Webster overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Man sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.
Webster working over Man with some ground and pound. Man looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.

Webster scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
Man tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Webster really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

That was a close second round but I would say that Duncan Webster will probably get the nod.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Man pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Webster is keeping the position for now.
Webster throws some sloppy strikes off his back.

Webster is looking to stand up but Man isn't so interested in that idea.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Duncan Webster just wasn't active enough.

Mad Man seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Man shoots for a double leg takedown but Webster sprawls well. He's pushed Man's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Man gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Webster got a little sloppy there for a moment and Man has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Webster has managed to get both his arms back between Man's legs - danger averted.

Well Webster has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
