Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chuck Liddel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Feodore Sabre (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Chuck Liddel!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 29 - 20 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Feodore Sabre!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Liddel jabs Sabre right on the nose. Sabre blinks but takes it well.
Liddel throws a head kick but Sabre moves out of range.
Sabre misses with a hook.
A decent looking cross lands there for Liddel.
Liddel throws a leg kick but Sabre sees it coming and moves out of range.
Liddel fails with an attempt to clinch.
Liddel seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Sabre will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Liddel throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
No luck for Sabre with that takedown attempt.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

and Sabre counters with a nice double leg into side control. Liddel won't be happy with that.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Sabre wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Liddel, who protects the arm well.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Liddel takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
Sabre creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Feodore Sabre dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!



A momentary lapse in concentration from Liddel enables Sabre to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Liddel manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Sabre drops back, looking for a kneebar! Liddel looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Liddel looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Liddel!

Sabre is in a bad spot here and he knows it... just holding on for now.
Liddel wants to control for a moment but Sabre uses the opportunity to move back to half guard.

Sabre shoots in looking for a takedown but Liddel manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Sabre's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Sabre uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Liddel shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Sabre eats them both and turns towards Liddel to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Liddel throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Sabre shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Sabre slips a nice elbow through Liddel's hands, connecting with Liddel's forehead.
Liddel has hold of Sabre's hands but Sabre slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

Sabre not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.

Sabre seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Liddel does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Feodore Sabre showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Liddel tries to clinch but Sabre is having none of it.

Liddel keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Sabre moves out of range of the leg kick from Liddel.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Liddel lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Sabre has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Sabre and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Feodore Sabre wasn't active enough on the ground.
Sabre tries to score a power double leg takedown but Liddel sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Sabre somewhat.

Chuck Liddel has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Feodore Sabre.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Sabre tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Liddel defends well and Sabre ends up having to push Liddel into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Liddel has had enough of the clinch but Sabre keeps him there for the moment.
Sabre drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Liddel gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Liddel is trying to force a seperation but Sabre has the dominant position.
Sabre is working for takedown but Liddel is calmly controlling the position for now.

The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Sabre takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Sabre is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Liddel pulls him back up using the underhooks.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

A close third round but Feodore Sabre just about did enough to take it.

It looks like Feodore Sabre has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Sabre working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Liddel doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Liddel manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

And that's the end of the fight!

I think Sabre has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
