Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Shaun Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alfredo Gomez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Shaun Johnson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Alfredo Gomez!
The judges for this bout are , Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Johnson.
Gomez avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Gomez throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Johnson's waist but Johnson gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Gomez off to one side.
Johnson defending well as Gomez loads up on a big left hand.
Gomez lands the left hand.
Gomez cracks Johnson with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Johnson dives in for a single leg takedown but Gomez sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Gomez lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Gomez slows down the pace here.
Johnson tries to stall but Gomez uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Gomez scores with a shot to the side of Johnson's head.

Gomez has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Johnson is trying to keep an underhook but Gomez manages to get the takedown into half guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Johnson is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Gomez is looking to take a break and control but Johnson is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Johnson is in a tricky position. We've heard reports from his gym mates at Silverback MMA Academy (Elite + Sauna & 160VM) that he's been drilling escapes, so let's see if he can get back to his feet.

Johnson can't escape the position.
Gomez postures up and connects with a big shot that has rocked Johnson badly. He's trying desperately to grab hold of Gomez around the waist but Gomez pushes him off and unloads with more strikes, forcing the referee to jump in and save him! Gomez is the winner by TKO! Gomez jumps onto the cage and shouts into the camera. "We did it momma!"
