The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Shigeki Sano and Tatsuya Matsuyama.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Masada tries for a takedown but Cox sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

and Cox counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Cox trying to control the position from guard on top but Masada is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Cox loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Masada pushes Cox off and gets back to his feet.

Oooooh!!! Masada has knocked Cox down with a huge combo! Masada steps away and waves a wobbly Cox back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

Cox is rocked!

It looks like Hank Cox has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Masada shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Cox defends it nicely.
Oh Cox is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Hank Cox has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Hideki Masada.

Masada explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
Cox really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Masada throws a front kick that sends Cox stumbling back into the cage.
Masada throws a powerful right kick. Cox tried to block low but the kick was high! Cox was taken right off of his feet! Masada jumps in to finish the job and the ref tackles him! The fight is over!

A relieved looking Hideki Masada thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
