Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kj Barakus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Te Huna (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Te Huna has chosen Chevelle-Jars as his entrance music. James Te Huna will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
19 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kj Barakus! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, James Te Huna! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Te Huna connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Barakus momentarily.
Barakus shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Te Huna is trying to defend but Barakus finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Barakus missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Barakus is looking for a kimura here.
Barakus is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Te Huna felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

Barakus looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Barakus is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Te Huna is just riding it out for now. Barakus eventually gives up the hold.

Kj Barakus dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Barakus changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Te Huna tries to avoid it but Barakus manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Te Huna to the ground. Te Huna escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. A right-left combo lands from Te Huna.
It looks like Kj Barakus has been cut. Barakus shoots in for a takedown but Te Huna shows good takedown defense. Barakus with a lazy takedown attempt and Te Huna counters with a straight punch to the midsection. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kj Barakus. That's going to take a lot out of him. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Barakus goes for a double leg but Te Huna avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Te Huna continues to drive forward. Te Huna is trying to push Barakus away but Barakus has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Barakus prevents Te Huna from breaking the clinch. Te Huna wants to get back to striking at distance but Barakus won't allow it.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! That's three minutes gone in the round. Barakus throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Te Huna's waist but Te Huna gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Barakus off to one side. Te Huna avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Barakus doesn't succeed with the takedown and Barakus takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Te Huna slaps away a takedown attempt from Barakus, before circling back to the center of the mat. Barakus tries for a takedown but Te Huna circles away easily and Te Huna counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Barakus gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily letting Te Huna counter with a right hand. Barakus looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. Te Huna lands with an overhand left. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Barakus looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Te Huna is fending him off so far but Barakus persists. Nope, Te Huna circles away and we're back to standing. Te Huna keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Barakus moves to clinch but Te Huna breaks away and Te Huna counters with a two punch combo. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
James Te Huna showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Kj Barakus's cut. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Barakus tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Te Huna defends well and Barakus ends up having to push Te Huna into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Barakus keeps control of Te Huna as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Kj Barakus has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Te Huna is looking to break free of the clinch but Barakus has double underhooks. Te Huna breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
And that's the end of the fight! James Te Huna comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Te Huna has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
