Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Adam Baum (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rick Sampson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Baum's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Eminem - Survival. Sampson has chosen "Off the Chain" by Serg Salinas as his entrance music. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Rick Sampson! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Baum wants to slow Sampson down by chopping away at his legs. Baum's corner calls for a 1-2. Baum obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
It looks like Rick Sampson has been cut. Rick Sampson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Baum ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Sampson moves away. Sampson swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Sampson gets a takedown into half guard. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Baum has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Sampson is on him like a limpet, forcing Baum back against the cage. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Sampson breaks the clinch.
Baum throws a chopping leg kick but Sampson manages to avoid taking any serious damage. Baum could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Sampson gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Baum counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Baum is trying to push Sampson away but Sampson has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
That's one minute gone in the round. Baum drops down looking for an ankle pick but Sampson pulls his leg out and moves away.
Sampson tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Baum swivels and escapes. Sampson looks for a takedown but Baum sprawls well. Baum scores with a three punch combo!

If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Sampson wants to get up but he can't break Baum's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Baum tries to bum rush Sampson with a series of wild strikes but Sampson uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Sampson fails to land with a series of punches.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky. Baum drives through and clinches with Sampson against the cage.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Sampson wants to break free but Baum has control.
