Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Roy Burnett!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Aaxell Corzo!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Paulo Santos and Mauricio Rocha.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Corzo tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Burnett shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Corzo's guard.
Corzo looking to hit a scissor sweep but Burnett is one step ahead there.

Corzo has an active guard here but Burnett has managed to pass into half guard.

Corzo tries to buck Burnett off but Burnett is having none of it.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Roy Burnett just wasn't active enough.
The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.

Burnett has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Corzo regains guard immediately.

Burnett moves into side control, avoiding a weak kimura attempt from Corzo.
Corzo seems a little lost for a moment, as Burnett dominates the positioning.
Corzo takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Corzo is looking for a sweep.
Burnett tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.

Burnett happy to just control the position for now.
Corzo takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.

Burnett is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Corzo has escaped the position, nice work there.
Corzo can't do much from the bottom here.
A lull in the action here as Burnett stalls from top position.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Corzo tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Burnett presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Corzo looks for a takedown but Burnett sprawls well.

Burnett darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Burnett keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
Corzo is striking from the bottom but he's now found himself mounted! Oh dear - not enough focus on defense there.
Corzo is desperately trying to improve his position but Burnett has a good base and remains in mount.

Burnett cracks Corzo with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Burnett has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Corzo's face.
Burnett wants to stand but Corzo is holding on to him, trying to stop him posturing up.

BOOM! Burnett connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Burnett takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Corzo throwing hammer fists to the chest of Burnett. What's that going to do exactly?
Burnett tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Corzo wants to hold on but Burnett pushes him away.

Burnett content just to control the position here.
Burnett has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Corzo tries to hold on but Burnett postures up.
Corzo is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Burnett is staying active.

Burnett has control of Corzo's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Corzo regains control of the situation pretty easily.
BOOM! Burnett connects with a massive shot to the dome!

Burnett looking for a guillotine from mount but Corzo is having none of it.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

Corzo gets caught flat footed, as Burnett shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Burnett is controlling the pace.
Burnett wants to stand up but Corzo has a hold of him and won't allow it.
Burnett is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Aaxell Corzo has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Burnett looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
