Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Masami Takahashi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kevin Queen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Masami Takahashi! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Kevin Queen! The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Radbod Blank and Patrick Alders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Takahashi throws a left that rocks Queen and follows with a right that sends him tumbling to the canvas! Takahashi dives into side control, looking to finish! Can Queen regain composure!
It looks like Kevin Queen has been cut. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. A bit of a lull in the action here. Queen is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Takahashi wants to control but Queen is keeping him busy. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Queen can do anything to dispel that myth. Takahashi wants to free his trapped foot but Queen is holding on for dear life with his legs. Queen is doing well to control the position and prevent Takahashi from advancing to side control. Takahashi works his foot free and advances to mount. Takahashi looking to control but Queen is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
That's one minute gone in the round. Queen tries to reverse the position but Takahashi maintains control. Takahashi is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Queen to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Queen shrugs it off. Takahashi fails to take his opponent's back. Queen is wriggling around trying to escape.
Takahashi looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. Queen manages to regain half guard. Good work. Queen really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Takahashi. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Queen is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Takahashi is trying to work for a kimura but Queen is defending well.
Queen manages to escape and get back to his feet! Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Takahashi tries to sprawl but Queen drives through with a takedown into half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Queen missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Queen stops Takahashi from getting back to his feet.
Queen throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Queen scoring with strikes to the body and head. Queen working over Takahashi with some ground and pound. Takahashi looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Queen working Takahashi over with strikes.
Takahashi is rocked! Takahashi has hold of Queen's hands but Queen slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Oh Takahashi is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Queen lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Takahashi slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Queen postures up from his opponent's guard, before exploding into some vicious ground and pound! Takahashi covers up, he's hurt! Queen keeps throwing the strikes, glancing at the referee... Will he stop it?? One more big shot from Queen and the ref steps in to end the fight! Queen can't hide his delight as he celebrates with his corner.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:24 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Kevin Queen! Kevin Queen was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
