Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Henry Morgan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marcelo Salas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Salas is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by 2 PAC Picture Me Rollin . This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 1 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Henry Morgan! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Marcelo Salas! The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Frank Dennis and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Salas connects with a right hand. Morgan shakes it off. Nice body punch from Salas. Morgan looks to clinch and Salas counters with an outside leg kick.
Salas throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean. A combination from Salas does no damage. Morgan uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Salas. Salas is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Salas throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Morgan darts in and clinches Salas up against the cage. Salas is trying to force a seperation but Morgan has the dominant position. Morgan is struggling to control the position. Salas can't break the clinch.
Salas tries to work over Morgan's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Morgan's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Salas keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Salas looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Morgan feints and as Salas raises his hands in defense, Morgan changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. This has been an exciting period of action! If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Morgan is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Salas avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Morgan wants to control from the top but Salas keeps moving.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Henry Morgan. Morgan rushes Salas and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Morgan ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Morgan no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Salas got a little sloppy there for a moment and Morgan has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Salas has managed to get both his arms back between Morgan's legs - danger averted. Salas has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Morgan is proving hard to escape from.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Morgan is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Morgan on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Morgan tries to get out of the position. Salas wanted to stand there but Morgan had control of the position. Morgan has Salas pulled in close to control his posture.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Henry Morgan has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Salas tries to score with a low kick but Morgan moves his leg out of the way. An inside leg kick lands from Salas. Morgan fails with an attempt to clinch.
Salas throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Morgan looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Salas is fending him off so far but Morgan persists. Nope, Salas circles away and we're back to standing. Morgan uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Salas. Morgan shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Salas as he jumps to the side. Salas misses with a shot to the body enabling Morgan to counter with a crisp jab. No luck for Morgan with that takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Henry Morgan. That's going to take a lot out of him. Morgan fails with a takedown attempt. Salas dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Morgan. That did some damage!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Salas throws a body punch but Morgan moves out of range. Salas lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Morgan at a distance.
Morgan takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Salas scores with a leg kick.
A slapping leg kick lands for Salas.
Salas is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Morgan rather than just go for the knockout. Morgan takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Morgan moves out of range of the body kick from Salas.
Salas throws a leg kick but Morgan sees it coming and moves out of range. We've been told by Morgan's head coaches at Main Event Gym that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Morgan closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Salas breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Salas cracks a nice hook into Morgan's ribs. Morgan misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Salas works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
That's five minutes gone in the round. Salas gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Morgan loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Morgan trying to control but Salas is working from the bottom. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Morgan trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Morgan with a flurry of punches that miss.
That's six minutes gone in the round.
Henry Morgan has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Salas connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. Salas lands with a right hand. Salas changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Morgan cracks Salas with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Morgan misses with a body shot.
Morgan tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Salas manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Salas is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. Salas throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Morgan misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Salas scores with a jab to the body. Morgan tries to clinch up but Salas circles away and keeps his distance. Marcelo Salas is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Salas throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. No luck for Morgan with that takedown attempt.
That's seven minutes gone in the round. Morgan shoots in but no luck this time. Morgan darts in looking for a takedown but Salas gets double underhooks and turns Morgan into the cage. Morgan jumps guard and drags Salas to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Salas wanted to stand there but Morgan had control of the position. Salas preventing the sweep. Morgan working a defensive guard here.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Morgan moves out of range as Salas throws a body kick.
That's eight minutes gone in the round. Salas throws a leg kick which misses Morgan's front leg but catches the back leg as Morgan tries to avoid it. Morgan darts in looking for a takedown but Salas gets double underhooks and turns Morgan into the cage. Salas escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Salas throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Morgan gets the takedown into side control. Salas dodges the ground and pound from Morgan. Morgan trying to control the action but Salas is working from the bottom. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Morgan swings around for an armbar but Salas sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Morgan's guard.
That's nine minutes gone in the round. Salas wants to get up but he can't break Morgan's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Morgan is on top in guard.
Morgan thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Morgan controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Henry Morgan. I think Morgan has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
