Roger has chosen Eye of the tiger as his entrance music. Johannes Roger has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Anthony Miles's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Anthony Miles! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Johannes Roger! The judges for this bout are Josh West, Colin Fray and Paul Gruel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Roger wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Roger shoots in but no luck this time. Roger swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Miles closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Roger is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Miles asserts his dominance and retains side control. Miles working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. Sloppy strikes there by Miles. Miles is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Roger knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Roger is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Miles tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Miles postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Miles is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Roger knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Roger is pushing Miles's head away, looking to escape. Miles manages to hold on to the position though. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Miles tries to work over Roger's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Roger looking to slow down the pace here. Roger has had enough of the clinch but Miles keeps him there for the moment. Roger misses with the head strike.
Roger tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Miles's elbow. Miles blocks a body shot from Roger. Roger is trying to break the clinch but Miles has him pressed against the cage. Roger gets underhooks to prevent Miles's takedown attempt.

Roger breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Miles misses with a takedown attempt - Roger sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Roger misses with a double jab.

That was a close round but I would say that Anthony Miles will probably get the nod. That's time! Back to the action!

Roger has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at Conditioning and boxing Pit. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one. Miles slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Miles works to advance to full mount. Roger defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs. Miles controlling from mount. Roger defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Miles. Miles stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Roger gets tackled into the cage by Miles. Miles maintains the clinch. Roger moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. Roger takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Roger throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Miles closes the distance and pushes Roger back into the cage. Miles pulls guard effortlessly. Roger wanted to stand there but Miles had control of the position. Miles trying to control the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Roger has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Miles is proving hard to escape from. Miles looking for a guillotine here but Roger defends easily.

Miles pushes Roger off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there. Miles shoots for a takedown but Roger saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Miles throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Roger's waist but Roger gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Miles off to one side. Miles shoots in looking for a takedown. Roger tries to sprawl out of it but Miles keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Roger manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Roger throws out a leg kick but Miles moves out of range and Roger only half commits. Some wild striking there from Roger.
Miles shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Roger as he jumps to the side. Johannes Roger seems to be getting the better of the standup. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Roger misses with a few strikes there.
Johannes Roger has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Anthony Miles is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Roger cracks Miles with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Johannes Roger. I think Miles has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
