Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Scott Gouken (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Una Kemeameahu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kemeameahu has chosen Ride of the Valkryes as his entrance music. This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 5 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Scott Gouken!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 7 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Una Kemeameahu!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Cecil Peabody and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice defenses there by Gouken.
Kemeameahu has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Gouken is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Kemeameahu uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Gouken.
Gouken defending well as Kemeameahu loads up on a big left hand.
Kemeameahu fails with a takedown attempt.

Kemeameahu closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Kemeameahu wants to work for an arm triangle but Gouken is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Gouken controls Kemeameahu momentarily but Kemeameahu frees himself.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Una Kemeameahu wasn't active enough on the ground.

Kemeameahu displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Gouken throws out the jab.
We've been told by Gouken's head coaches at Team Listerman that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Gouken throws an overhand right that lands on Kemeameahu's shoulder, as Kemeameahu tries to avoid the shot.
Kemeameahu takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Kemeameahu throws a jab but it's blocked by Gouken.
Kemeameahu walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.

Kemeameahu closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Gouken did well to prevent Kemeameahu getting side control.

Kemeameahu is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Gouken doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Kemeameahu.

That was a close round but I would say that Scott Gouken will probably get the nod.

Kemeameahu is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Gouken has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Gouken!
Gouken seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Kemeameahu shoots in for a takedown but Gouken shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Kemeameahu on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Gouken. Gouken obviously looking to wear him down.
Kemeameahu shoots in for a double leg but Gouken sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Kemeameahu scores with a one two! Gouken had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.

Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.


Gouken lets loose with a powerful body kick. Kemeameahu will feel that in the morning.
Kemeameahu uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Gouken.
No joy there for Kemeameahu, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Kemeameahu looks to land a combination but Gouken avoids it well.

and Gouken cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Gouken fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Kemeameahu.
Una Kemeameahu seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

A clash of legs there as Kemeameahu blocks the low kick.
Gouken is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Kemeameahu.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Gouken. Kemeameahu shrugs it off though.

Gouken feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Kemeameahu sprawling to the canvas! Kemeameahu rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Gouken finish him?!

Kemeameahu's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.

Kemeameahu is rocked!


That has opened up Una Kemeameahu's cut even more.
Gouken displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Kemeameahu throws out the jab.
Kemeameahu is still on wobbly legs! Can Gouken finish him?
Sloppy strikes from Kemeameahu. Those never looked like landing.
Gouken ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Gouken fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Kemeameahu has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Kemeameahu seems to have recovered his senses.
Gouken connects with a crisp jab.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
