Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Drum Benby (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shane Burden (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Drum Benby! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Shane Burden! The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Robert Twigg and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Benby closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Burden to the mat! Burden manages to get full guard. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Benby passes into half guard. Benby controlling the pace. Burden really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Benby. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Benby is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Burden tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Benby has advanced to mount. Uh oh. Benby lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. Benby content just to control the position here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Burden tries to lock up and control but Benby gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Benby with shots to the head and body - Burden looks very uncomfortable down there. Burden tries to hold on but Benby postures up. Benby takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Benby has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Burden is in a horrible position here. Benby smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Benby controlling from the full mount. Benby has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Benby lands a big elbow. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Benby tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Benby working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet. Benby connects with a couple of good shots from mount.

He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Burden for as long as he can get away with. Benby looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Benby controlling from mount. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Benby cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Benby controlling the pace for now. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Drum Benby dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
No luck for Burden with that takedown attempt. Burden is looking to clinch but Benby is avoiding it.

Burden tries to sprawl out of it but Benby keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Burden manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Benby shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Burden napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Benby postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Burden looks a forlorn figure.

Benby landing strikes from the mount. Benby raining down shots from the mount! Benby looking to control and managing it successfully. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Drum Benby dominated that second round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!
Benby closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Burden's guard. Burden can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Benby controls the pace. Burden looking for a sweep. Not yet Burden, not yet. Benby is looking to work some ground and pound but Burden has wrist control. Benby postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Burden is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Benby, into his guard. Burden throwing strikes but missing. Benby is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Burden is controlling him.
That's one minute gone in the round. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Burden shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Benby pinned against the cage. Benby gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Benby scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Benby content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though. Benby works to advance to full mount. Burden defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs. Benby takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Benby in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.

And that's the end of the fight! Drum Benby showed his dominance in that final round. Well Benby has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
