Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jordan Henderson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Richard Sharpe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jordan Henderson has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jordan Henderson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Richard Sharpe! The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Ben Hemmingworth and Francis DeMontford.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The fight stays on the outside here - Sharpe looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Henderson just misses with a punch to the body.
Sharpe tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Henderson is able to avoid easily. Sharpe tries to clinch but Henderson is having none of it. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Sharpe throws a combination that misses and Henderson counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Henderson throws a right and a left that Sharpe avoids nicely. Sharpe checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time. Henderson attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin. Henderson seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym. Sharpe misses with a looping right. Sharpe throws a series of punches but Henderson moves out of range. Sharpe takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Henderson misses with a hook. Henderson misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Donk. Sharpe catches Henderson right on the button with a cross. Sharpe defending well as Henderson loads up on a big left hand. Some wild striking there from Sharpe.
Sharpe connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Henderson throws a leg kick but Sharpe sees it coming and checks it nicely. Sharpe delivers a nice body kick.
That's one minute gone in the round. Henderson gets caught flat footed, as Sharpe shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Henderson looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Sharpe trying to stand up but can't free himself from Henderson's guard. Henderson looking to control.
Sharpe wants to stand but Henderson is controlling his posture from full guard. Henderson is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Sharpe is aware though and is defending well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Henderson wants to sweep here but Sharpe controlling him for the moment. Henderson is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Sharpe defends well. Henderson trying to keep a closed guard but Sharpe is proving a slippery customer.

Sharpe must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Henderson looking to hit a scissor sweep but Sharpe is one step ahead there.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Henderson working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Sharpe doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Sharpe manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Sharpe has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Henderson is proving hard to escape from. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Henderson is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Henderson looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Sharpe passes into side control.
You can see the frustration on Henderson's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Sharpe decides to stand back up. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Jordan Henderson will probably get the nod. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Sharpe throws a series of punches but Henderson avoids them all with ease. Sharpe misses with a body shot.
Henderson keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Sharpe dives in for a single leg takedown but Henderson sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Henderson breaks from the clinch.
Sharpe scores with a push kick. Sharpe comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Henderson throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Sharpe misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Henderson shoots in and gets a takedown into Sharpe's guard. Henderson lands a couple of elbows. Henderson won't allow Sharpe to get back to his feet. Henderson working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Henderson accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Sharpe is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Henderson is controlling him.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sharpe utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Henderson passes into half guard. Henderson seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Sharpe does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Henderson is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Sharpe is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Henderson not landing any meaningful shots this time. Henderson working the head and body with strikes. Henderson thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Sharpe's head. Henderson wants to control but Sharpe is keeping him busy.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Henderson drops an elbow to the side of Sharpe's head. Henderson is looking to pass Sharpe's guard but actually Sharpe recovers to full guard. Henderson postures up in Sharpe's guard and throws a big left but Sharpe blocks it. Henderson has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Henderson trying to control the position from guard on top but Sharpe is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Sharpe is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Henderson presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat. Sharpe breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Henderson walks into a straight right hand from Sharpe. A punch combination from Henderson misses. Henderson misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
That's three minutes gone in the round. No luck with that takedown attempt from Henderson. Nice takedown defense from Henderson. No joy for Sharpe on that attempt. Jordan Henderson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Richard Sharpe. Henderson shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Henderson showed some decent athleticism there. Sharpe is trying to stand up here but Henderson is controlling him well. Henderson is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Sharpe has managed to free his arm - good work. Henderson throws a strike but Sharpe avoids it easily and moves to full guard. Sharpe working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Henderson. Sharpe pushes Henderson off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Henderson tries to keep at a distance but Sharpe has taken the fight into the clinch. A head punch on the inside from Sharpe fails to land. Sharpe works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.

Henderson is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Sharpe. This has been an exciting period of action! No joy there for Sharpe, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
A jab from Henderson finds it's way through Sharpe's defenses. Richard Sharpe is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Sharpe fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Sloppy strikes from Sharpe. Those never looked like landing. Sharpe is looking to land body kicks. Henderson misses with a low kick as Sharpe jumps back. Sharpe misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Jordan Henderson dominated that second round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!
Henderson tests Sharpe's chin there with a solid looking shot. Sharpe wants to clinch. Henderson uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Sharpe.
Henderson connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. Henderson shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Henderson was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Henderson is staying tight to Sharpe's torso, preventing him from escaping. Henderson wants to control but Sharpe is keeping him busy. Henderson fails to land a wild elbow strike.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sharpe being controlled for a moment. An elbow from Henderson crashes against the mat.
Henderson creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Sharpe sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. Henderson is trying to ground and pound but Sharpe uses the momentary lack of control by Henderson to regain half guard. Henderson seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Sharpe does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Henderson thows a huge punch but Sharpe dodges it nicely.
Henderson is trying to control the action in half guard but Sharpe is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Still in half guard, Henderson seems content to control. Henderson looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Sharpe with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Henderson stops Sharpe from getting back to his feet.
Henderson throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Sharpe to regain full guard. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Henderson accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Henderson decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Henderson lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Sharpe circles away quickly and effectively. Sharpe is looking to clinch.

Sharpe misses with a takedown attempt - Henderson sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Henderson shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Henderson is looking to take a break and control but Sharpe is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Henderson is nestled in close to Sharpe, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Sharpe is staying active underneath Henderson, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Henderson throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Henderson wants to take a breather but Sharpe is having none of it. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Henderson thows a huge punch but Sharpe dodges it nicely.

And that's the end of the fight! Jordan Henderson showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Henderson, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
