Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Hercules Umbaal (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Antoine Pettis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Umbaal comes to the cage accompanied by Hercules Is Coming. Antoine Pettis is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Hercules Umbaal! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Antoine Pettis! The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Tiny Johnson and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pettis throws a nice looking combination but Umbaal bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Pettis lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Umbaal takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.

Umbaal darts in and clinches Pettis up against the cage. Umbaal scores with a shoulder strike. Umbaal pulls Pettis into guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Umbaal is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Pettis defends well. Pettis is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Pettis preventing the sweep. Pettis wants to control from the top but Umbaal keeps moving. Umbaal wants to sweep but no luck. Pettis really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Umbaal. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
That's one minute gone in the round. Umbaal looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Pettis passes into side control.
Umbaal gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Umbaal is holding on to half guard well. Umbaal is staying active underneath Pettis, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Pettis performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Pettis is trying to control the action in half guard but Umbaal is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Umbaal tries to get to full guard but Pettis has control of the leg. Pettis thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Umbaal's head. Umbaal on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Umbaal tries to get out of the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Umbaal works his way to full guard. Good work. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Umbaal looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Pettis passes into side control.
Umbaal keeping his opponent close. Umbaal is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Pettis off and has taken his back! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Pettis has his hands over his head blocking the strikes from Umbaal. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Umbaal throwing damaging strikes from the back! Pettis could be in trouble here!
Umbaal missing with strikes. Umbaal is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Pettis has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here. Umbaal struggling to keep hold of the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Umbaal is landing with strikes. Pettis can't take much more of this. Umbaal throwing sloppy strikes. Umbaal has got one arm under Pettis's chin. This could be trouble... Pettis trying to control the other hand but Umbaal gets it free and sqeezes tight - just a matter of time now! Yep, Pettis has tapped out! The fight is over!
