Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Caleb Conner! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Guy Hozanto! The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Colin Fotheringham and Steven Brown.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Conner gets tackled into the cage by Hozanto. Hozanto maintains the clinch. Conner misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Hozanto.
Conner really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Hozanto drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Conner gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Conner is pressed up against the cage. Hozanto has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Conner down to the mat. Conner avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Hozanto clinches up with Conner and pushes him back against the cage. Hozanto wants to take the fight to the mat but Conner manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. Caleb Conner has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Guy Hozanto. Conner prevents Hozanto from breaking the clinch. Hozanto wants to break free but Conner has control.

Conner will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
That's one minute gone in the round. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Conner drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Conner jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Conner postures up in Hozanto's guard and throws a big left but Hozanto blocks it. Hozanto has Conner pulled in close to control his posture. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Conner throws a big elbow that misses. Conner missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Hozanto has his foot on Conner's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Conner works his way back into a safe position though. Hozanto wants to improve his position but instead Conner has moved into half guard.
Hozanto is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment. Conner is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Hozanto defends it well.

Hozanto is doing well to control the position and prevent Conner from advancing to side control. Conner is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Hozanto wants to get back to full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Conner not landing any meaningful shots this time. Conner thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Hozanto's head. Conner missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. The fighters are battling for position here. Hozanto manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Conner throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Hozanto works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Conner avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Hozanto utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Hozanto is looking for a triangle here but Conner uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Hozanto manages to get back to half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Hozanto keeps control of the position for the meantime. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Hozanto is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Conner's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Conner's back! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Conner has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Conner throws a big elbow that misses. Hozanto pulls Conner in close to his closed guard and prevents Conner from doing any damage or advancing position. Hozanto lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Conner! Hozanto tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Guy Hozanto has got the better of the ground game so far. Conner wants to hold on but Hozanto pushes him away. Conner wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Hozanto.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Hozanto is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Conner can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Guy Hozanto hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Hozanto clinches up against the cage. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Hozanto manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Conner won't allow Hozanto to sweep him here. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Guy Hozanto showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Conner takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Hozanto fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Conner avoids it really well and circles away. Conner tries to keep at a distance but Hozanto has taken the fight into the clinch. Hozanto looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hozanto pulls guard effortlessly. Hozanto is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Conner is looking to control Hozanto's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Conner avoid being mounted? Hozanto stands up out of the half guard. Conner shoots in but no luck this time. Conner shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Hozanto as he jumps to the side. Caleb Conner is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Nice sprawl there from Conner as Hozanto shoots in. Hozanto takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Hozanto rushes Conner and presses him up against the cage. Conner misses with a hook from the clinch. Conner drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Hozanto gets the underhooks and prevents it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Caleb Conner. That's going to take a lot out of him. A frustrated look appears on Hozanto's face as he tries to break the clinch. Conner jumps guard but Hozanto stands there with Conner around his waist. Conner gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Conner is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Hozanto is defending well for now.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Conner is fighting to break Hozanto's control of his arms but Hozanto is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Conner has gone for a leg lock! Hozanto slips out almost immediately though and dives into Conner's guard. Conner is working an open guard so Hozanto takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Hozanto leaves Conner with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Caleb Conner has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Guy Hozanto is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Conner throws a series of punches but Hozanto moves out of range.
And that's the end of the fight! Guy Hozanto comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Hozanto has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
