Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 17 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Bariga Cocainich!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Thiago Pereira!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Jack Bonds and Don Winkell.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pereira throws a sloppy head kick and Cocainich moves out of range easily.
Pereira will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Cocainich circles away from the clinch attempt

and Cocainich counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Cocainich.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Pereira wants to sweep but no luck.
Cocainich throws an elbow that misses. Pereira uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Cocainich's guard. Nice move by Pereira!
Cocainich looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
Cocainich has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Cocainich keeping moving, preventing Pereira from controlling successfully.
Cocainich has his hands on Pereira's head, controlling the position.

Cocainich isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Pereira stacks Cocainich on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Pereira!

Cocainich tries to improve position but can't.
Cocainich is not content to let Pereira control the position.
You can see the frustration on Cocainich's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Pereira stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Pereira shoots in and drives through. Cocainich sprawls well.
Pereira closes this distance looking for a takedown but Cocainich circles away.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Pereira misses with a takedown

and Cocainich counters with a takedown into side control.
Bariga Cocainich has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Thiago Pereira.
Cocainich works to advance to full mount. Pereira defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.

Cocainich swings around for an armbar and he's got it! Wow, that came out of nowhere! What a finish!
