Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
21 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Martin Jackson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
20 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Eric Lawson! The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Aafke Stam and Paul Aken.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Excellent takedown into side control there by Lawson. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Jackson is looking for a sweep. Jackson is working hard here to advance position. Lawson trying to control the position but Jackson is working away. Jackson trying to control but Lawson flips him over like a cheap hooker and has his back! Lawson tries to keep control of the position but Jackson is staying busy. Lawson has good solid back control here. Jackson really must keep his cool here. He's controlling one of Lawson's hands and whilst he does that, he's got a chance of escaping the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lawson is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Jackson defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Jackson fending off the submission attempt from Lawson. Lawson has the hooks in. Jackson is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted. Lawson working for a RNC but it's not happening just yet. Our spies down at at LOD: Novae inform us that Lawson has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off? You can see the frustration on Jackson's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jackson wants to get back to his feet. Jackson can't escape the position.
Lawson cracks Jackson with a big shot to body and one to the head - really punishing Jackson from the back mount here, looking to soften him up.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Lawson is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. Jackson trying to control but not successfully. Lawson tries to keep control of the position but Jackson is staying busy. Jackson is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.
Jackson is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Lawson gets his way!

That's four minutes gone in the round. Lawson escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Jackson gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Lawson not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Jackson slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jackson tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Lawson wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. That's one minute gone in the round. Jackson is trying to maintain the position but Lawson is very close to passing his half guard. Lawson prevents Jackson from improving his position. Jackson won't allow Lawson to pass to mount. Lawson not landing any meaningful shots this time. Lawson is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Eric Lawson has got the better of the ground game so far. Jackson keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Lawson wants to control but Jackson is keeping him busy. Jackson trying to control but Lawson postures up.

Lawson is keen to just control but Jackson is a slippery customer. Lawson content to control rather than advance. Lawson thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Lawson seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Jackson does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Eric Lawson hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Lawson shoots in but no luck this time. Nice body kick there by Jackson. No luck with that takedown attempt from Lawson. Jackson scores with a hook to the body. Lawson takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Jackson swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
A nice inside leg kick there by Jackson. That's going to slow Lawson down. Jackson throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Lawson fails with a takedown attempt. Martin Jackson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Eric Lawson.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Lawson misses with a few strikes there.
Lawson is pinned up against the ropes taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Lawson moves out of range of the body kick. Martin Jackson is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Lawson shoots for a takedown but Jackson saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Lawson fails in his attempt to clinch. Jackson feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Lawson's calf. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Lawson has a takedown stuffed. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. A slow jab from Jackson misses its intended target. Jackson wants to land a leg kick but Lawson is out of range. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Eric Lawson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!
Lawson on the wrong end of a nice jab. Lawson drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Jackson is not content to let Lawson control the position. Lawson tries to score with some ground and pound. Jackson controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage. Lawson working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. Jackson is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Lawson's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Jackson slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Jackson seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission.

Jackson controls Lawson momentarily but Lawson frees himself. Lawson trying to control but Jackson is working from the bottom. Jackson is trying to control the position from the bottom.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Eric Lawson wasn't active enough on the ground. Lawson is looking to clinch but Jackson is avoiding it.
Eric Lawson is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jackson throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Lawson sees it coming and avoids it easily. Martin Jackson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Lawson takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards. Martin Jackson is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Lawson gets a double leg takedown into Jackson's guard. Lawson seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Lawson's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Lawson is looking to stand up but Jackson won't let him. Lawson wants to control from the top but Jackson keeps moving.

Eric Lawson has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Lawson throws a body punch but Jackson moves out of range. Jackson throws a head kick but Lawson moves out of range.
Lawson fails with the takedown. Jackson throws a lazy head kick and Lawson counters with a nice double leg into side control. Jackson won't be happy with that. Jackson is not content to let Lawson control the position. Lawson content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though. Jackson tries to buck Lawson off but Lawson is having none of it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Lawson trying to control the action but Jackson is working from the bottom. You can see the frustration on Jackson's face as Lawson controls the position. Martin Jackson has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Lawson has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Jackson! Lawson trying to control but Jackson is having none of it. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Jackson is trying desperately to improve position. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
And that's the end of the fight! Eric Lawson comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Lawson winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
