Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Homer Mullen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marco Teposto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mullen displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Teposto. Mullen pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Teposto throws a low kick but it's checked well by Mullen. Mullen closes the distance and clinches up with Teposto, looking for a takedown. Mullen pushes Teposto against the cage but Teposto circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Mullen shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Teposto is trying to defend but Mullen finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Teposto is trying to maintain the position but Mullen is very close to passing his half guard. Mullen throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Marco Teposto. Mullen fails with a takedown attempt. Mullen tries to clinch there but Teposto circles away.
Mullen keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Mullen looks to score with a jab to the body but Teposto is just out of range. Teposto tries to score a power double leg takedown but Mullen sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Teposto somewhat. Homer Mullen has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Marco Teposto. Teposto goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mullen is looking to chop away at Teposto's legs. Mullen shoots in and drives through. Teposto sprawls well. Teposto closes the distance but Mullen moves to the side and Mullen counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Mullen's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. Teposto looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Mullen jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Teposto walks away with a smile on his face. Mullen gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Mullen ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Mullen no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Mullen is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Mullen will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Mullen has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Teposto must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Mullen has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Teposto looking to pass the guard.

Teposto scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Teposto goes for a double leg but Mullen avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Mullen continues to drive forward. Teposto tries to pull guard but Mullen won't allow it.

Homer Mullen has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Marco Teposto. Mullen is pressed up against the cage. Teposto has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Mullen down to the mat. Mullen avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Teposto shoots for a double leg takedown but Mullen sprawls well. He's pushed Teposto's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Nice takedown defense from Mullen. No joy for Teposto on that attempt. Mullen misses with a body shot.

and Teposto counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Teposto is breathing heavily. Mullen gets a takedown into half guard. Mullen is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Teposto is trying to get back to full guard. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Mullen looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Teposto with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Teposto is looking to improve his position.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Mullen postures up in Teposto's guard and throws a big left but Teposto blocks it. Mullen stops Teposto from standing up. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Mullen tries to stand but Teposto is controlling from the bottom. A close second round but Marco Teposto will probably get the nod - 10:9. That's time! Back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Mullen scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Teposto can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Mullen controls the pace. Teposto wants to sweep but no luck. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Mullen chips away with some ground and pound.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Marco Teposto. I think Teposto has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
