Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jay Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kurisu Ikora (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith fails in his attempt to clinch.
Smith throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Smith shoots in looking for a takedown. Ikora tries to sprawl out of it but Smith keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the ropes. Ikora manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Smith is looking to clinch but Ikora is avoiding it.

Smith decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Ikora is trying to get back to full guard.
Smith throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Ikora is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Ikora is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Smith pulls his head out easily.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Smith in particular looking to stall.
Ikora is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Smith's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Smith's back!

Ikora looking to break Smith's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Smith remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Ikora will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!

Ikora has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Smith has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

Ikora is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Smith is defending well though. Ikora let's go of the attempt for now.

Ikora is looking for a choke. Smith gets to his feet with his opponent on his back and slams him to the mat. Smith manages to squirm out of the attempted choke and turns into his opponent's guard.

Ikora bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Smith's guard.
