Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Torgio Kazikuni (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Osamu Kawajiri (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Torgio Kazikuni! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Osamu Kawajiri! The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Shigeki Sano and Ren Mimura.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kazikuni throws a series of punches but Kawajiri moves out of range. Kawajiri avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Kazikuni looks to score with a jab to the body but Kawajiri is just out of range. Kawajiri is looking to clinch. Kazikuni waving his hands out infront of him, looking to distract Kawajiri. Kawajiri shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Kawajiri was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Kazikuni is looking to improve his position but Kawajiri isn't that keen on the idea. Kazikuni bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! Kawajiri throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

Kazikuni won't allow Kawajiri to sweep him here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kazikuni postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Kawajiri is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Kazikuni, into his guard. Kazikuni is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Kawajiri trying to control the position from guard on top but Kazikuni is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Kazikuni looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Kawajiri passes into half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kazikuni is trying to get back to full guard. Kazikuni makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Kazikuni. Kawajiri stopping the sweep attempt from Kazikuni. Kawajiri distracts Kazikuni with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Kawajiri must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Kawajiri avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Kawajiri drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Kazikuni dives on top into guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kazikuni wants to control from the top but Kawajiri keeps moving. Kazikuni pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Kawajiri is keeping the position for now. Kawajiri really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kazikuni. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Kawajiri wants to stand but Kazikuni is controlling the position. Kazikuni drops back, looking for a kneebar! Kawajiri looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Kawajiri looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Kawajiri! Kazikuni is breathing heavily. Kawajiri tries to advance to mount but can't.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Kawajiri working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Kazikuni tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Kawajiri presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount! Kazikuni sneaks a leg under to get to half guard. Kawajiri is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Kazikuni moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Torgio Kazikuni will probably get the nod. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Kazikuni lands with a nice body punch. Kazikuni throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Kazikuni takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Kawajiri wants to clinch up but Kazikuni keeps it at a distance. Kawajiri gets a takedown into half guard. Kawajiri looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Kawajiri wants to stand up but Kazikuni is controlling the position.

Kawajiri is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kawajiri trying to control but Kazikuni is working from the bottom. Kazikuni looking to hit a scissor sweep but Kawajiri is one step ahead there. Kawajiri wants to stand but Kazikuni is controlling his posture from full guard. Kazikuni not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Kazikuni is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Kawajiri trying to control but Kazikuni is working from the bottom. Kazikuni lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Kawajiri! Kazikuni has hold of Kawajiri's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Kawajiri manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Kazikuni jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Kawajiri is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Kawajiri and Kazikuni has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Kazikuni looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Kazikuni tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Kawajiri is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Kazikuni's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Kazikuni prevents Kawajiri from standing back up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kawajiri wants to sweep but Kazikuni has passed to side control! Torgio Kazikuni overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Kazikuni has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Kawajiri! You get the feeling that Kawajiri really doesn't like being in this position too much.
Kazikuni looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. Kazikuni fails to take his opponent's back. Kawajiri is trying to get back to his feet but can't. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Torgio Kazikuni dominated that second round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
A left and a right from Kazikuni both land. Nice combination. A telegraphed right hand from Kazikuni misses the target. Kazikuni throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Kawajiri. Kawajiri closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Kawajiri lands in his opponent's guard. Kazikuni is looking for a triangle but Kawajiri pushes his legs off easily.
Kawajiri tries to free his leg and advance position but Kazikuni is retaining full guard. Kawajiri won't allow Kazikuni to sweep him here. Kawajiri tries to stand but Kazikuni is controlling from the bottom. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Kazikuni is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kawajiri tries to stand but Kazikuni is controlling from the bottom. Kazikuni pushes a forearm under Kawajiri's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Kawajiri is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:41 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Torgio Kazikuni!
