Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bapit Pradchapet (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cory Steel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pradchapet comes to the cage accompanied by Wanted Dead or Alive. Steel has chosen Immortal Technique-Point of no return as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 29 - 18 - 0, fighting out of New York, Bapit Pradchapet!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 27 - 24 - 1, fighting out of New York, Cory Steel!
The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, Jorge Garcia and Franklyn Lucas.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Steel throws a series of strikes that have Pradchapet backpedaling.
Pradchapet misses with a looping left.
Pradchapet moves out of range as Steel strikes.
Cory Steel seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Steel takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Pradchapet moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Pradchapet shoots in and bounces Steel off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Steel can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Pradchapet controls the pace.
Steel is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Steel tries to kick Pradchapet off but Pradchapet keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Steel is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.

Pradchapet thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Steel's head.
Pradchapet winds up and cracks Steel with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Pradchapet connects with a nice short shot to Steel's temple.

Pradchapet has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Steel throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Steel bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Pradchapet's head backwards.
Pradchapet ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Steel moves away.
Pradchapet looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Steel looks to score with a jab to the body but Pradchapet is just out of range.
Pradchapet throws a looping overhand right but Steel ducks down to avoid it.
Pradchapet displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Steel throws out the jab.
Steel throws a series of punches but Pradchapet avoids them all with ease.
Pradchapet uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Steel.

Steel's coach down at Kick In The Nutz Gym (14 Elite Coaches, Low Cap) was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Steel's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

Pradchapet throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Steel on the side of the head.

Steel uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Pradchapet has time to react.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Pradchapet here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Pradchapet.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
