Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Wilbur Bradshaw (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jim Everest (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

A momentary lapse in concentration from Bradshaw enables Everest to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Bradshaw manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Everest passes Bradshaw's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Bradshaw wants to control but Everest is keeping busy.

Everest is working for a kimura but Bradshaw is defending it quite comfortably.

Everest is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Everest seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

Everest wants to free his trapped foot but Bradshaw is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Everest working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Everest is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Everest tries to stand but his arm is trapped.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.

Everest looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Everest tries to stand but his arm is trapped.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Everest perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Bradshaw tries to get to full guard but Everest has control of the leg.

Everest slows the pace down in half guard.

Everest wants to get back to his feet.
Everest is nestled in close to Bradshaw, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Everest is looking to stall here but Bradshaw recovers full guard.
Everest content to stall in guard here.
Everest makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

Bradshaw trying to keep a closed guard but Everest is proving a slippery customer.
Everest's corner is telling him to maintain position.

Bradshaw is looking for a triangle but Everest pushes his legs off easily.
Bradshaw is trying to keep Everest in close.
Everest lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Everest not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Everest throws a head kick but Bradshaw moves out of range.
Bradshaw really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Everest.
Everest tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.
Bradshaw tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Everest presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!
Bradshaw tries to hold on but Everest postures up.
Everest looking to control and managing it successfully.
Bradshaw is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

Everest tries to stand up but he's trapped just for the moment.
Bradshaw is working to get back to half guard.
Everest controlling his opponent.
Bradshaw manages to control the position for a moment.
Everest prevents Bradshaw from getting the reversal.

Everest working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.
Everest takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Everest lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Bradshaw is in all sorts of trouble here.
Oooooh, big shot lands for Everest! Bradshaw is hurt baaadly! Everest is firing away with more strikes - Bradshaw is covering up... the ref is warning him to do something. He's just covering up though still and the ref has to step in to end the fight! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:39 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jim Everest!
