Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Pablo Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Willy Hicks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Silva comes into the arena with Amazing by Kanye West ft. Young Jeezy blaring out of the sound system. Willy Hicks is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Don Winkell and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hicks misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Silva.
Silva has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Hicks throws a jab but it's blocked by Silva.

Silva throws a hook but Hicks avoids it easily.
Silva digs a good body shot into Hicks's ribs.

Hicks is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Silva is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Silva wants to pass the guard but Hicks is keeping the position.

Silva might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Silva throws a big right hand that misses.
Hicks working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Silva doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Silva manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Silva is taking a breather. Hicks says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Silva passes to full mount!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
A big strike lands for Silva! That's really hurt Hicks and he's turned his back - Silva keeps firing away and the ref dives in to stop the fight! Silva jumps to his feet to celebrate the victory!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:49 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Pablo Silva!
Pablo Silva spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
