Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Adam Franklin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Leos Karanous (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The judges for this bout are Paul Gruel, Jeff Smith and Micheangelo Fripello.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Franklin misses with a takedown attempt - Karanous sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Franklin tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Karanous counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Karanous seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Franklin is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!

A relieved looking Leos Karanous thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
