The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Crocop misses with a head kick.
Lesnar throws a shot from downtown. Crocop moves away and avoids it.
Lesnar takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Lesnar tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Crocop was well out of range. Poor timing from Lesnar.

Lesnar drives through with a takedown into guard.
Lesnar controls from within his opponent's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Crocop controls Lesnar momentarily but Lesnar frees himself.
Crocop is really struggling to control Lesnar but he's trying to hold on to the position.
Lesnar wants to control from the top but Crocop keeps moving.

Crocop looking for a guillotine here but Lesnar defends easily.
Crocop utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Lesnar prevents Crocop from getting back to his feet.
Crocop working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Lesnar.

Crocop wants to stand and escape but Lesnar is having none of it.
Lesnar engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Crocop rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Lesnar moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Lesnar moves in looking to clinch but Crocop pushes him off.

A jab from Crocop misses.
Crocop has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Crocop pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Lesnar back to the cage. Crocop follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Crocop misses with a straight left.
Lesnar tries to clinch but Crocop moves out of range.

Lesnar drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Crocop is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Lesnar is controlling him well.
Lesnar lands a decent elbow from side control.
Lesnar lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Crocop down.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Crocop takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
Lesnar has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Crocop takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.

Crocop is rocked!

It looks like Mirko Crocop has been cut.
Lesnar in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.
Oh Crocop is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Crocop knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Lesnar on the ground.
Lesnar lands a big left to the face of Crocop, bouncing his head like a basketball. Another shot from Lesnar and another - Crocop is out! Lesnar stands up and salutes his fans, who are going crazy in the stands.
