Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Deshawn Cotton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eduardo Saverin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Saverin throws a series of punches but Cotton moves out of range.

It looks like Deshawn Cotton has been cut.

Cotton moves to clinch but Saverin breaks away
and Saverin counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Saverin doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Cotton counters by clinching up.
Cotton could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Cotton goes for a takedown attempt but Saverin pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Cotton closes the distance and pushes Saverin back into the cage.

Saverin breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Eduardo Saverin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Saverin lands a jab.
Cotton tries to clinch but Saverin moves away
and Saverin counters with a nice double leg into side control. Cotton won't be happy with that.

Saverin decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Oh Cotton is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Saverin throws a nice looking combination but Cotton bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Cotton tries to close the distance and clinch up but Saverin swats him away and circles back towards the center.

and Cotton counters into the clinch. Nicely done.

Cotton closes the distance and clinches.
Cotton escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Saverin thows a body shot but no joy.
Saverin looks to land a left hand but Cotton moved out of range nicely.
Saverin feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Cotton is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Saverin wants to stand and escape but instead Cotton has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Saverin wants to stand up but Cotton is controlling him.
Cotton is looking to work some ground and pound but Saverin has wrist control.
Cotton is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Saverin is looking to stand up but Cotton isn't so interested in that idea.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Cotton loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Saverin uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Cotton closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Cotton shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Saverin as he jumps to the side.

Saverin lands with a nice combination. Cotton backs away looking to recover.
Cotton walks straight into a right hand from Saverin - that's dropped him! Saverin jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Cotton from any more punishment! Cotton complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
