Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Tymoteusz Swiatek (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Xilo Schwaty (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tymoteusz Swiatek has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, Eddie Farnsworth and Chad Campbell.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Schwaty changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Swiatek tries to avoid it but Schwaty manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Swiatek to the ground. Swiatek escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Schwaty has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Swiatek finds it's way round the side to connect with Schwaty's head.
Schwaty tries a head kick but it misses.
Swiatek throws a good cross that connects.

Swiatek shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Schwaty but Schwaty pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Schwaty shoots in looking for a takedown. Swiatek tries to sprawl out of it but Schwaty keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Swiatek manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Swiatek chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Schwaty can pounce on him.

Swiatek drops back, looking for a kneebar! Schwaty looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Schwaty looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Schwaty!
Schwaty remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Swiatek is trying to work for a sweep but Schwaty has mounted him!

Schwaty looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Swiatek with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

and Schwaty makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Schwaty will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Schwaty darts in and clinches Swiatek up against the cage.

Swiatek is fighting off a takedown attempt but Schwaty is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Swiatek to the mat. Swiatek regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
Swiatek wants to sweep here but Schwaty controlling him for the moment.

Schwaty got a little sloppy there for a moment and Swiatek has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Schwaty has managed to get both his arms back between Swiatek's legs - danger averted.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Well Schwaty has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
