Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Archie Atkins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lee Brandt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Archie Atkins has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Archie Atkins! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Lee Brandt! The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Dillan Fox and Alec Ball.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Brandt falls off balance throwing a combination
and Atkins counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena. Brandt bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Brandt is working Atkins over with some ground and pound from side control. Brandt controls the position. Brandt has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Atkins tries to buck Brandt off but Brandt is having none of it. Atkins really is a fat lump. Brandt in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.
That's one minute gone in the round. Brandt tries to score with some ground and pound. Atkins controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage. Brandt remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. Atkins tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Brandt wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Atkins stops Brandt from passing to mount. Brandt is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Atkins regains half guard, as Brandt was trying to land strikes. Still in half guard, Brandt seems content to control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Atkins wants to get back to his feet. Atkins avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Brandt. Brandt not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Atkins might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Brandt in particular looking to stall. Brandt scoring with strikes to the body and head. Well, if Brandt is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Lee Brandt. Atkins moves to clinch but Brandt breaks away and Brandt counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Brandt is figuring out what he wants to do next. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Brandt works his foot free and advances to mount. Brandt is landing with some decent strikes but Atkins is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Brandt unloading with bombs! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Brandt is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Brandt extends the arm and Atkins is forced to tap!
