The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Phooey throws a leg kick but Ra sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Phooey takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Phooey moves out of range of the strikes.
Ra has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
A slapping leg kick lands for Ra.
Phooey swings widly with a right hand
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Ra goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Phooey fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Ra steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Phooey.
No joy there for Phooey, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Ra throws a hook but Phooey avoids it easily.

Ra shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Phooey sprawls well. Phooey wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Ra gets slowly back to his feet.

I would just about give that final round to Sun Ra.
Well Ra has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
