Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rumba Da (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Thomas Kane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Rumba Da has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Rumba Da seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rumba Da! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Thomas Kane! The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Frank Dennis and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kane ducks under a wild hook from Da. Kane shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Kane was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Da is trying to buck Kane off. Kane tries to advance to mount but Da denies him. Kane wants to control but Da is keeping him busy. Da tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Kane wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Da pushes Kane away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Kane gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kane working the body and head with strikes. Da is looking to reverse the position. Da is working hard here to advance position. Kane stands up and we're back to a striking position. Kane bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kane feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Da looking to hit a scissor sweep but Kane is one step ahead there. Kane pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Da is keeping the position for now. Da has Kane pulled in close to control his posture. Kane wants to control from the top but Da keeps moving. Kane passes into half guard. Da keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Kane drops an elbow to the side of Da's head.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kane slips a nice elbow through Da's hands, connecting with Da's forehead. Da is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Da is trying to control but can't.
Da wants to get back to full guard. Da moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Kane wants to control from the top but Da keeps moving. Da is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Da is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Da knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Kane on the ground.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Da wants to sweep but no luck. Da has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. Da will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Kane dodges the punch combination from Da.
A nice leg kick lands there from Kane. Kane lands a head kick. Da smiles back at him and beckons him forward. Rumba Da is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Kane closes the distance and clinches up with Da, looking for a takedown. Kane pushes Da against the cage but Da circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Kane has a takedown stuffed. Da falls off balance throwing a combination
and Kane counters with a head kick. That will keep Da thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks! Kane shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Da defends it nicely. Rumba Da has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Thomas Kane. Da throws a series of punches but Kane moves out of range.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Da displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Kane. Kane looks winded! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Kane keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Da looks to land a left hand but Kane moved out of range nicely. Rumba Da seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Da misses with a series of wild punches.
Kane closes the distance and clinches up with Da, looking for a takedown. Kane pushes Da against the cage but Da circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Da throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Kane. Kane should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Da throws an off balance right hand
and Kane counters into the clinch. Nicely done. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Kane gets control of Da's arms and successfully pulls guard. Kane will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Da is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Da trying to control the position from guard on top but Kane is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Thomas Kane dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Kane fails with an attempt to clinch.
Da takes a shot right to the bread basket. Da throws the left hand but Kane avoids the punch easily. Kane explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work. Kane moves in looking to clinch but Da pushes him off. Da misses with a combination
and Kane counters with a nice body kick.
Kane darts in looking for a takedown but Da gets double underhooks and turns Kane into the cage. Both fighters working to control the clinch. Da tries to circle away but Kane has him pinned against the cage. Da tries to break free but Kane pushes him back against the cage. Da is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Da wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. A quick uppercut on the inside from Kane.
That's one minute gone in the round. Da wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Kane keeps control of Da as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Kane drags the fight down to the ground.
The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Kane. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man. Da stops Kane from standing up. Da trying to control but Kane is working from the bottom. Da slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Rumba Da has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Da swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Da misses with a hook. Kane ducked under it nicely. Da throws out a loose jab but Kane uses good head movement to avoid it. Rumba Da is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Kane shoots in and bounces Da off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Kane trying to control but Da is working from the bottom. Da looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Kane is pushing down on Da's leg trying to pass to half guard. Da is fighting to maintain full guard but Kane has managed to sneak the leg through. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Da is trying to get back to full guard. Kane slows the pace down in half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kane wants to stand but Da has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now. Da is not content to let Kane control the position. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Da tries to kick Kane off but Kane keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Thomas Kane. Kane shoots in but Da avoids the takedown attempt easily. Kane scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Kane is breathing heavily. Kane wants to control but Da is keeping him busy. Da wants to control but Kane is keeping busy and won't allow it. Kane stops Da from getting back to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Da tries to get to full guard but Kane has control of the leg. Kane is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Da! Da can't escape the position.
Da tries to lock up and control but Kane gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Kane prevents Da from getting the reversal. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Kane has hold of Da's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Da manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Da really wants to buck Kane off and get back to his feet. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Da working to try and regain half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Thomas Kane showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Da's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!
Da throws a body punch but Kane moves out of range. Da fails to land with a series of punches.
Kane tries to clinch there but Da circles away.
Thomas Kane seems to be getting the better of the standup. Da throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Da is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Kane. Kane darts in and clinches Da up against the cage. Da looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Da working hard to break the clinch. Kane escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Kane shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Kane was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Da is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Kane asserts his dominance and retains side control. Thomas Kane has got the better of the ground game so far. Kane is looking to take a break and control but Da is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Da on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Da tries to get out of the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Da is looking for a sweep. Kane working away. Kane is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Da knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Da is looking to regain half guard here but Kane keeps moving and retains side control. Kane working away.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Da is not content to let Kane control the position. Kane works to advance to full mount. Da defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs. Da tries to get back to half guard but can't. Kane content just to control the position here. Kane lands with some strikes.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kane tries to control but Da wriggling away. Da is looking to get to half guard. Da tries to hold on but Kane postures up. Kane can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Da is looking to escape. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Da has given up his back here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Da is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet. The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Kane's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.
Da won't enjoy being in this position. Kane looking for the choke. Oh... he's slipped the arm under the neck - Da is tapping - it's over boys! Kane picks up the submission victory!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:37 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Thomas Kane!
