Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Michale Keith! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Gunter Tegus! The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Frank Antenori and .
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Keith wants to clinch. Tegus sizes up Keith with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Tegus tries to clinch up. Keith avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Keith has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Tegus closes the distance and clinches. Keith missing with knees to the body.
Keith wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Tegus has him pressed against the cage. Tegus breaks the clinch.
Keith tries to close the distance and clinch but Tegus swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Keith pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Tegus will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Tegus takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. Tegus is trying to push Keith away but Keith has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Tegus trying to control the position but instead, Keith has worked for underhooks and has pushed Tegus into the cage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Tegus escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

and Keith counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Tegus thinking. Tegus forces Keith back against the cage and clinches. Keith wants to take the fight to the mat but Tegus manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. Tegus lands with a short shot to the head. Tegus is struggling to control the position. Keith is looking for a takedown. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Michale Keith. That's going to take a lot out of him. Tegus is defending well against a takedown attempt. Tegus's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Both guys are working to get underhooks. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Keith's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! Tegus is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Keith fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Keith jumps guard but Tegus stands there with Keith around his waist. Keith gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Gunter Tegus dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
A combination from Tegus does no damage. Tegus rushes Keith and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Tegus escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Keith shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Tegus as he avoids it easily. Keith really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Tegus takes the fight into the clinch. Tegus's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Keith tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Tegus defends well and Keith ends up having to push Tegus into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Gunter Tegus seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far. Keith has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Tegus avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Tegus's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Tegus escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Tegus moves into range and clinches up with Keith. Tegus pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Keith misses with a takedown attempt - Tegus sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Tegus misses with the combination.
The fight stays on the outside here - Keith looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Tegus moves in looking to clinch but Keith pushes him off. Gunter Tegus is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A jab from Tegus finds it's way through Keith's defenses. Tegus takes the fight into the clinch. Tegus has Keith pressed against the cage, preventing Keith from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Tegus stalling the fight.

Tegus displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination. Tegus will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Gunter Tegus seems to be getting the better of the standup. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Keith fails with the takedown. Tegus lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Keith backs up against the cage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Gunter Tegus showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. And we move into the final round!
Tegus fakes a right and follows up with a big left that drops Keith to one knee - oooooh, he's wobbly! Keith looks to clinch but Tegus throws him off and pummels him into the canvas! Keith taps out under the strikes! The fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:05 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Strikes). Gunter Tegus! In his post fight interview, Gunter Tegus started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
