Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Major Obrien (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Augustus Blue (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Augustus Blue will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Major Obrien! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Augustus Blue! The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Paulo Santos and Leandro Rodrigues.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Obrien misses with a takedown attempt - Blue sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Obrien really is built like a bowling ball. I wonder if he'd roll if you pushed him down a hill... Obrien changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Blue tries to avoid it but Obrien manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Blue to the ground. Blue escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Obrien has a takedown stuffed. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Major Obrien. That's going to take a lot out of him. Obrien tries to clinch but Blue moves away and Blue counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Obrien is lucky that one didn't land flush. Obrien really is a fat lump. Obrien scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Blue trying to control but Obrien postures up.
Well, if Obrien is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Blue is trying to maintain the position but Obrien is very close to passing his half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Blue is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Blue wants to sweep but no luck. Obrien might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Blue wants to control but Obrien passes easily into half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Obrien prevents Blue from improving his position. Blue is looking to escape. Blue is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Blue keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount. Obrien works his way into side control. Blue dodges the ground and pound from Obrien.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Obrien wants to control for a moment but Blue uses the opportunity to move back to half guard. Obrien sitting and controlling from the half guard. Blue tries to get to full guard but Obrien has control of the leg. Obrien is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Blue has managed to free his arm - good work. Obrien prevents Blue from improving his position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Obrien throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Blue has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Obrien is working away from the top position though. Obrien prevents Blue from improving his position. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Obrien seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Blue does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Major Obrien will probably get the nod. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Sloppy strikes from Obrien. Those never looked like landing. Obrien tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Blue manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Obrien closes the distance looking to clinch and Blue counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Obrien thinking. Obrien closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Blue works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard. Obrien on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Obrien tries to get out of the position. Blue is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Obrien looking to sweep here. No luck so far. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Blue throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Obrien working a defensive guard here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Obrien escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Blue gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Blue landing some decent shots from guard. Blue scoring with punches to the head and body. Blue with a flurry of punches that miss. Blue working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Obrien's head. Obrien is trying to control the position but Blue postures up. Obrien looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Blue scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Obrien looking to control.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Blue throws an elbow that misses. Obrien uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Blue's guard. Nice move by Obrien! Obrien stopping the sweep attempt from Blue. Blue trying to keep a closed guard but Obrien is proving a slippery customer.

That's three minutes gone in the round. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Blue holds on and takes a little breather. Blue not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Augustus Blue. Obrien dives in and grabs Blue's left leg, looking for a takedown. Blue pushes down on Obrien's head and hops out. Obrien drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Blue can't do much from the bottom here. Blue tries to improve position but can't. The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
That's four minutes gone in the round. You can see the frustration on Blue's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Obrien wants to stand but Blue is controlling his arm. Blue manages to work his way to half guard, despite Obrien's best efforts. Blue is trying to control but Obrien manages to pass to mount!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Blue is desperately trying to improve his position but Obrien has a good base and remains in mount. Blue keeps trying to improve his position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Augustus Blue will probably get the nod - 10:9. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Obrien moves to clinch but Blue breaks away and Blue counters with a nice kick to the body. Obrien doesn't succeed with the takedown and Blue counters with a nice body kick. Obrien shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Blue sprawls well. Blue wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Obrien gets slowly back to his feet. Obrien with a lazy takedown attempt and Blue counters with a right hand to the body.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Blue stuffs the takedown. Obrien tries to clinch but fails miserably and Blue counters with a left to the body. Major Obrien seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Obrien shoots in for a takedown but Blue shows good takedown defense. Obrien has his takedown stuffed and Blue counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena. Obrien shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Blue counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters. Obrien tries to clinch but fails miserably and Blue counters with a nice low kick that buckles Obrien's knee momentarily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Obrien with a poor takedown and Blue counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Obrien misses with a takedown and Blue counters with a nice body kick.

Obrien shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Blue cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Major Obrien is winning the standup battle so far. A swing and a miss from Obrien.
And that's the end of the fight! Major Obrien showed his dominance in that final round. I think Obrien has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
