Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Len Simon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Igor Frankenstein (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Igor Frankenstein has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Len Simon!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Igor Frankenstein!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Alec Ball and Gregory Folan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Simon shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Frankenstein but Frankenstein pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Simon swats away the attempt to clinch by Frankenstein.
Frankenstein looks to clinch
and Simon counters with a stiff right hand.
Frankenstein closes the distance looking to clinch
and Simon counters with a stiff right hand.

Simon closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Simon will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Simon really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Simon in side control, throwing shots but Frankenstein defends.

Simon is working Frankenstein over with some ground and pound from side control.
Simon lands a decent elbow from side control.
Simon in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.
Simon postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Frankenstein defending against the ground and pound.
Frankenstein is not in a great position here, taking some shots.

Frankenstein is working to avoid the ground and pound but Simon connects with a decent elbow.
Frankenstein really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Simon. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Simon tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.
Simon landing strikes.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Simon sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Frankenstein is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
An elbow from Simon crashes against the mat.
Simon misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

Simon landing strikes.
Frankenstein is not in a great position here, taking some shots.
Simon lands an elbow.
Frankenstein takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.

Simon decides to stand back up.
Frankenstein circles away from the clinch attempt.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Simon keeps the fight on the outside.
Frankenstein wants to clinch
and Simon cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Frankenstein doesn't manage to clinch there - Simon circles away.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Simon tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Simon drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Simon lands some shots froms side control.
Frankenstein looks winded!
Simon looks up at the clock and then as Frankenstein takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Simon smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Simon looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Frankenstein is avoiding damage well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Len Simon dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!



Simon clinches with his opponent.
Simon is trying to pull guard but Frankenstein has him pressed against the cage.
Frankenstein misses with a knee strike.
Frankenstein scores with a knee to the head.


It looks like Len Simon has been cut.
Frankenstein tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Simon is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Frankenstein gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Frankenstein with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Simon's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
Simon is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Frankenstein is defending well.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Len Simon. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Simon manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Frankenstein being controlled here momentarily.

Simon lands some strikes from the bottom.
Simon manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Frankenstein takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
BOOM! Simon connects with a massive shot to the dome!

Simon putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Simon is landing with some decent strikes but Frankenstein is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Simon lands a big shot there that rocks Frankenstein but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Frankenstein is breathing heavily.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Simon landing strikes, looking to finish!


Frankenstein is rocked!
Simon postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Frankenstein looks a forlorn figure.
Frankenstein is still in real trouble! Can Simon finish him?
Oooooh, big shot lands for Simon! Frankenstein is hurt baaadly! Simon is firing away with more strikes - Frankenstein is covering up... the ref is warning him to do something. He's just covering up though still and the ref has to step in to end the fight! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:58 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Len Simon!
