Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Peter Rowland (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Exp Zero (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Peter Rowland looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zero misses with a takedown attempt

and Rowland counters by clinching up.
Zero fails to pull guard.
Zero tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Rowland just stands there and leans against the cage.
Peter Rowland has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Exp Zero.
Rowland will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Zero up against the cage.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Exp Zero wasn't active enough on the ground.

and Rowland counters by moving into the clinch.

Rowland manages to pull guard.
Zero wants to pass the guard but Rowland is keeping the position.

Zero wants to control from the top but Rowland keeps moving.
Rowland might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Exp Zero wasn't active enough on the ground.

Rowland manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.

That was a close round but I would say that Peter Rowland will probably get the nod.

Zero is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Rowland rolls with it to try and escape but Zero cranks on the arm and Rowland is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
